'Ljubljana Process' at the Council of Europe in Strasbourg

From 1 to 15 October, the Council of Europe's headquarters in Strasbourg will be hosting the 'Ljubljana Process – Rehabilitating our Common Heritage' exhibition.

As part of the programme of the Slovenian Chairmanship of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe, the exhibition represents the pinnacle of the 'Integrated Rehabilitation Project Plan/Survey of the Architectural and Archaeological Heritage' (IRPP/SAAH) – a joint campaign implemented by the Council of Europe and the European Commission concerning cultural heritage in terms of sustainable social and economic regeneration. 'Ljubljana Process – Rehabilitating our Common Heritage' exhibition is the result of one of the most successful and well-known projects in   South-East Europe, which went beyond the field of cultural heritage, contributing to capacity building and the stability in the region, the preservation of cultural diversity, the promotion of dialogue and cooperation in fostering greater investment from national and international funds.

The exhibition is an important step in the rehabilitation of architectural and archaeological heritage, and community revitalisation in South-East Europe, as well as an introduction to the international conference 'Ljubljana Conference – Rehabilitating our Common Heritage' to be held in November in Ljubljana.

The exhibition and conference will be held under the auspices of the President of the Republic of Slovenia, Dr Danilo Türk.
