Committee of Ministers Human Rights meeting - case of Kurić and others v. Slovenia

Strasbourg – 1164. meeting of the Committee of Ministers on the execution of European Court of Human Rights’ judgments took place between 5th and 7th of March 2013.

Under the European Convention of Human Rights, the final judgments of the Court are transmitted to the Committee of Ministers, which shall supervise their execution.

The representatives of 47 member states of the Council of Europe are discussing 17 judgments of the European Court of Human Rights concerning Albania, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, France, Georgia, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Malta, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russian Federation, Serbia, Slovenia, Turkey and Ukraine.

Among others, the implementation of the judgment in the case of Kurić and others v. Slovenia was discussed. Slovenia presented the action plan and other activities concerning the implementation of the judgment.

The Council of Ministers was informed of the action plan and decided to continue the discussion on the implementation of the judgment in June 2013.
