Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, 24 – 28 June 2013
Strasbourg – the Summer session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe will take place from 24 – 28 June 2013.
Minister Edward Nalbandian will present the communication from the Committee of Ministers to the Parliamentary Assembly.
This session’s topics for debate include the situation in the Middle East, corruption as a threat to the rule of law and putting an end to coerced sterilizations and castrations. The parliamentarians will also discuss a report evaluating the Parliament of Morocco’s ‘Partnership for democracy’ with the Assembly and elect judges to the European Court of Human Rights in respect of Iceland, Lithuania and the Slovak Republic.
A delegation from the Slovenian Parliament to the Parliamentary Assembly is organizing a reception on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of Slovenia joining the Council of Europe and will inaugurate the exhibition ITF (International Trust Fund) – Enhancing Human Security, Persistent Mission for a Safer World on Tuesday, 25 June 2013 at 1 p.m. in the Lobby of the Chamber of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. The Director of the ITF, Mr Dorijan Maršič, will be attending the inauguration of the exhibition.
