Reception to mark anniversary of Slovenia's independence referendum and holiday period

Strasbourg The Permanent Representation of Slovenia to the Council of Europe hosted a reception to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the referendum on the independence of the Republic of Slovenia, and the upcoming Christmas and New Year holidays, for Slovenians who live and work in Strasbourg.

The reception at the residence was attended by approximately 40 invitees, including Slovenian Members of the European Parliament and their assistants, Slovenian residents of Strasbourg, employees of the European Parliament, the Secretariat of the Council of Europe and the European Court of Human Rights, together with the members of the Permanent Representation of Slovenia.

In a short speech, Ambassador Bergant stressed the importance of the 20th anniversary of the independence of Slovenia and thanked participants for their work with the Permanent Representation of Slovenia throughout the year.
